Applications for Jalsa Salana 2026 are open, with the updated criteria approved. Please be aware that the awards are exclusively available to UK candidates.
Any UK student or ex-pats studying abroad or student where qualifications were done abroad but now resides in the UK can receive award if country where qualifications were sat agrees the achievement warrants an award. It is the applicant responsibility to get from the other country proof of acceptance of award and send to us before the deadline.

Jalsa Salana Talim Awards

By the Grace and Blessings of Allah the Almighty each year Huzur e Anwar (May Allah be his helper) gives merit-based awards on Jalsa Salana UK to fortunate Ahmadi students who have excelled in their fields of study.
The names of successful applicants will be announced at Jalsa Salana but the medals will be distributed at a later date.

UK Award Candidates
Award Application Process
- Please read carefully the given criteria and confirm you meet the criteria for one of the categories.
- Apply online for your category and you will get confirmation email with reference number of your application.
- Please check your junk/spam folder of email in case you don’t see in your inbox after few minutes. If this is not received at all, you will have to apply again.
- Please give details of your application to your Sadr so he can email his attestation.
- Please complete the online form below and submit scanned copies of the application and certificates before the deadline.
The Award applications are judged on academic merit alone. ALL candidates must meet the minimum criteria below to be eligible for the awards.
To calculate your GCSE points total, simply add the point values of your best 7 subjects.
You must achieve a minimum of 58 points across any 7 GCSE subjects.
📈 Examples (All Equal 58 Points):
- 2 Grade 9s + 5 Grade 8s = (2×9) + (5×8) = 18 + 40 = 58 points
- 3 Grade 9s + 3 Grade 8s + 1 Grade 7 = 27 + 24 + 7 = 58 points
- 4 Grade 9s + 1 Grade 8 + 2 Grade 7s = 36 + 8 + 14 = 58 points
- 4 Grade 9s + 2 Grade 8s + 1 Grade 6 = 36 + 16 + 6 = 58 points
- 5 Grade 9s + 1 Grade 8 + 1 Grade 5 = 45 + 8 + 5 = 58 points
For candidates completing education in Scotland
- SIX A’s and 2 B’s in Scottish National 5 examination
- SEVEN A’s in Scottish National 5 examination
- SEVEN A’s and 1 B in Scottish National 5 examination
- EIGHT A’s in Scottish National 5 examination
1) Candidates completing their education in England and achieving less than the above do NOT meet the minimum criteria
2) All GCSE qualifications achieved should not be more than 3 years ago.
3) Only Full course GCSE grades will be accepted which are recognised by exam body as 1 full GCSE in its own right. Partial courses i.e. Spoken Language will not be counted as 1 full GCSE in its own right
4) IF you are offering short courses for eligibility then please note: 2 x short courses = 1 GCSE
5) The ONLY acceptable form of evidence is the official exam board certificate – PLEASE DO NOT SEND any of the following without a valid certificate
(i) letters from the school
(ii) transcripts printed on school paper
(iii) school reports stating that the student is hard working and should get an award.
6) Please ensure that you have understood criteria, completed president verification form (available on next step) and uploaded all required documents along with this online application
7) ALL exam boards have a mitigating circumstances policy, if you have had mitigating circumstances then please ensure you apply to relevant exam board for consideration and get your adjusted grades before making your application. Every candidate MUST meet the criteria and applications will only be judged on achieved academic performance

For Candidates Completing Education in Scotland
- One A and Two B’s in Scottish Advanced Higher (S6) exams
- Two A’s and One B in Scottish Advanced Higher (S6) exams
- Three A’s in Scottish Advanced Higher (S6) exams
- Three A’s and Two B’s in Scottish Higher (S5) exams
- Four A’s and One B in Scottish Higher (S5) exams
- Five A’s in Scottish Higher (S5) exams
General Rules
- Candidates achieving lower grades than highlighted above do NOT meet minimum criteria
- All A Level, Scottish Advanced Higher (S6) and Higher (S5) qualifications achieved should not be more than three years old
- ALL A LEVELS must have been completed in one sitting
- BTEC is a Vocational Qualification – if you are offering a BTEC then it must be an Extended Diploma with D*D*D* (triple distinction) plus two A Levels at A Grade in two different subjects
- The ONLY acceptable form of evidence is the official exam board certificate – PLEASE DO NOT SEND any of the following without a valid certificate:
- (i) Letters from the school
- (ii) Transcripts printed on school paper
- (iii) School reports stating that the student is hard working and should get an award

- 1st Class (Hons) from a top 20 ranked University*
- 1st Class (Hons) from a university ranked top 10 for the subject studied*
- 1st Class (Hons) and above not met but student ranked top 10% in cohort
National Ranking According to the following UK Newspapers: The Times, The Telegraph, The Independent, The Guardian or the Complete University Guide.
MBBS/Dentistry Criteria for Talim Awards
- 70% and above in each year/stage of MBBS (University transcript to confirm this)
- 70% and above in each year/stage of Dentistry degree (University transcript to confirm this)
General Rules
- Candidates achieving lower grades than highlighted above do NOT meet minimum criteria
- All qualifications achieved should not be older than 3 years
- TOP 20 ranking or TOP 10 subject ranking may be in any year from when you started your degree to when you finished, not before you started. Candidates must provide evidence from the acceptable sources at the time of application
- Candidates applying under the criterion: TOP 10% in cohort must provide a letter from the University on official headed paper with a valid contact number for the staff member providing the reference
- The ONLY acceptable form of evidence is the official Degree certificate & transcripts
- Please ensure that you have understood criteria, completed president verification form (available on next step) and upload all required documents along with this online application
- ALL exam boards have a mitigating circumstances policy – if you have had mitigating circumstances, then please ensure you apply to the relevant exam board for consideration and get your adjusted grades before making your application. Non-Integrated Masters Course
- Pass with Distinction from a top 20 ranked University*
PhD’s
- All PhD’s meet the criteria for an award
Working Professionals
Case-by-case review – where academic excellence has been achieved above the requirements to practice by way of a national/international award attained by examination, interview, and evidence of attainment published in a National Broadsheet or Industry Journal in the UK.
The following professional qualifications are NOT eligible:
- Qualifications that are a requirement for licensure to a profession
- Professional/vocational Certification or Diploma
- Non-degree professional/vocational qualifications
- Transcripts from Professional Body Entry Examinations
- Promotion within a profession or an organisation
- A membership of fellowship awarded due to length of service
- An Honorary Degree
- A honour achieved by submitting CPD evidence
- Qualifications awarded due to length of service, membership of a professional body or by filing CPD evidence do not qualify
- MRCP and other Membership level Awards which are a requirement for Licensure for practising Doctor
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA
- LPC, BPTC
- A Diploma or Certification issued by a Vendor or a Professional Institute
- PGCE, Headship Qualification
- EngTech, IEng
